Delivery & service area

Getting it to your spot.

Our tilt-bed truck needs a fairly straight, firm pull-in to slide the container off the back. Plan on roughly 65 feet of clearance for a 20-ft unit and about 95 feet for a 40-ft, plus overhead room clear of low branches and power lines. Send us a photo of the spot and we'll confirm the truck can make it before we schedule.
If your address sits within 50 road miles of our Woodlawn, VA yard, delivery is free and already built into the price we quote — no separate trip charge, no fuel surcharge. The number you hear is the number you pay. Beyond 50 miles we simply quote the extra mileage up front so there are never any surprises.
We deliver across Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina. The first 50 road miles from Woodlawn are free; past that we quote the trip up front based on distance. If you're not sure whether you're inside the free zone, just give us your town or ZIP and we'll tell you on the spot. Check your town →
Most local drops happen within about a week of confirming your order, and we can often move faster when a unit's already in stock and the site is ready. The biggest factor is your drop spot — once we've confirmed the truck can reach it and the ground is firm, we get you on the schedule quickly.
Buying a container

What it costs to own.

Used cargo-worthy 20-ft containers start around $3,200 delivered within 50 miles of Woodlawn, and 40-ft units start around $4,900. Newer one-trip containers cost more for the like-new look. Every sale price already includes free local delivery, leveling on blocks, and a welded lockbox — no surprise add-ons. See sale pricing →
One-trip containers crossed the ocean a single time and are nearly new with factory paint and tight seals. Cargo-worthy and WWT (wind & water tight) units have years of service behind them but stay structurally solid and dry inside. All three share roughly the same 30-year outdoor lifespan — the real difference is looks and price.
Yes. For any address within 50 road miles of our Woodlawn yard, delivery is free and already in the price you're quoted, along with leveling and a welded lockbox. Past 50 miles we quote the mileage charge up front before the truck rolls, so you always know the full out-the-door cost.
A genuine ISO container is built from 14-gauge weathering (Cor-Ten) steel and routinely lasts 25 to 30 years sitting outdoors with no maintenance. That's far longer than a wood shed or pole barn for the same money, and one reason buying often beats renting once you'll keep the box for the long haul.
Renting a container

Month-to-month, no contract.

Rentals are month-to-month with no long-term contract — you keep the container as long as you need it and let us know when you're done. Pricing starts from $165 a month delivered within 50 miles. It's the easy choice for renovations, job sites, and seasonal crunches when you don't want to own the box. See rental options →
Deposit and exact terms depend on the unit and the length of your rental, so we'll lay it all out plainly when you call — no fine print. Give us a quick rundown of what you need and where it's going, and we'll quote the monthly rate, any deposit, and the delivery window the same day.
In most cases, yes — if you start out renting and decide you'd rather own the box, we can apply rent you've already paid toward the purchase. As a rule of thumb, once you'll keep a container past about 18 to 20 months, buying usually wins. Ask us to run both numbers so you can compare.
Containers, placement & permits

Sizes, slabs & sign-offs.

For temporary placement on private rural land, a permit is almost never required — the container simply sits on leveled blocks. For HOAs, town lots, or a permanent foundation, your county or municipality may want a permit, so it's worth a quick check. We're glad to talk through what your jurisdiction usually asks for.
No poured slab is needed. We set the container on leveled foundation blocks under the corner castings so the doors swing true and air moves underneath to keep it dry. All we ask is reasonably firm, level ground at the drop spot — gravel, packed dirt, or a driveway all work fine.
Yes. Through our custom modifications we add roll-up doors, personnel doors, windows, vents, insulation, shelving, electrical packages, and fresh paint — built to your spec before the container ships out. Tell us how you'll use the box and we'll suggest the modifications that make it work for the job. See modifications →
We carry the two standard sizes: 20-foot containers (about 160 sq ft) and 40-foot containers (about 320 sq ft), in both cargo-worthy and one-trip condition. High-cube 40-ft units with an extra foot of height are available when you need the headroom. Not sure which fits? Tell us the job and we'll point you to the right one.
