When it's a short-term need

Rent the space, not the box.

Sometimes you don't need to own a container — you just need the space for a stretch. A renovation that lasts a few months. A job site that wraps in the fall. A busy season that fills the garage. For all of those, renting beats buying: you pay a flat monthly rate, keep your gear locked and dry, and hand it back when the job's done.

Our rentals are the same genuine ISO containers we sell — 14-gauge Cor-Ten steel, wind and water tight, and shipped with a welded lockbox. The only difference is you're not committing to own it. And if you fall in love with having it on your land, just say the word: in many cases we can credit the rent you've already paid toward buying it outright.

When renting makes sense

Perfect when the need has an end date.

  • Jobsite tool storage — lock up tools, materials, and gear on site instead of hauling them home every night.
  • Home renovation overflow — clear out a room or a whole house while the work's underway, right in the driveway.
  • Seasonal & holiday retail — extra inventory space for your busy stretch, gone when the rush is over.
  • Staging a move — pack at your pace, keep everything dry and secure between the old place and the new one.
  • Storm & disaster recovery — a dry, lockable place for salvaged belongings while you rebuild.
  • Trying before buying — see how a container fits your land and your workflow before you commit to owning one.
Rent or buy?

Planning to keep it a while?

Renting is the smart call for short and seasonal needs. But the monthly payments add up — and at some point owning the container is cheaper than renting it.

As a rule of thumb, once you'll keep a box past about 18–20 months, buying usually wins. And if you've been renting and decide to keep it, we can often credit your rent toward the purchase.

Rental questions

Before you rent.

No. Container rentals are month-to-month with no long-term contract. Keep it for one month or twelve — when you're done, you call us and we schedule pickup. There's no penalty for ending early.
For most local rentals there's no large deposit — typically just the first month plus any delivery charge beyond our free 50-mile range. We'll lay out every number before the truck rolls so there are no surprises.
Often, yes. If you rent for a while and then decide you'd rather own it, just tell us — in many cases we can credit a portion of what you've already paid toward the purchase price. Ask when you call and we'll spell out the terms. See sale pricing →
We quote the same day and most local rentals are delivered within the week. If you're inside our 50-mile range and your drop spot is ready, we can often move quicker for an urgent job. Check your town →
Every rental container is wind and water tight — solid, dry, and lockable. They may show honest surface wear from prior service, but they keep your tools and inventory dry and secure, and each one ships with a welded lockbox.
