More than a box

We don't just sell boxes — we build them out.

A shipping container is a fantastic shell, but most jobs need more than four walls and cargo doors. That's where our shop comes in. Right here in Woodlawn we cut, weld, wire, and finish containers into workshops, offices, secure storage, equipment garages, and more — on units you buy from us or rent month-to-month.

Everything is done in-house, so you're talking to the same people who'll actually be holding the grinder. Tell us how you'll use the container and we'll spec a build that fits — no guesswork, no farming the work out to a stranger three states away. Real ISO steel, clean welds, and a finish you'll be proud to show off.

What we build

Modifications, à la carte.

Pick the pieces your project needs and we'll combine them into one clean build. Mix and match — most jobs use three or four of these.

Roll-up doors

Garage-style roll-up doors for easy drive-in access — perfect for shops, gear, and equipment.

Personnel (man) doors

A standard steel walk-in door so you skip swinging the big cargo doors every single trip.

Windows & skylights

Framed windows and roof skylights bring in daylight and airflow for offices and work areas.

Vents & louvers

Passive vents and louvers cut condensation and heat so the inside stays dry and breathable.

Insulation

Spray foam or rigid panel insulation, finished over, for comfortable year-round use.

Electrical packages

Panel, outlets, and switches roughed in clean — ready for licensed final hookup and inspection.

LED lighting

Bright, low-draw LED fixtures wired throughout so the whole interior lights up evenly.

Shelving & racking

Welded or bolt-in shelving and racks that turn empty wall space into organized storage.

Custom paint

Industrial paint in your color — match a brand, blend into a yard, or just clean it up sharp.

Vinyl signage & branding

Vinyl graphics, logos, and lettering so a jobsite container doubles as a billboard.

Entry ramps

Steel ramps for rolling carts, mowers, and equipment straight in without a lift.

Security upgrades

Welded lockboxes, extra hasps, and camera-ready mounts to keep what's inside locked down.

Popular build-outs

Same steel box, a dozen jobs.

  • Workshop — roll-up door, lighting, outlets, and shelving for a dry place to work.
  • Mobile office — insulated, wired, and windowed. See our dedicated mobile offices build.
  • Dry & secure storage — vents, a man door, and a welded lockbox keep gear safe and dry.
  • Equipment garage — roll-up door plus an entry ramp to drive mowers and machines straight in.
  • Retail / pop-up — paint, signage, lighting, and a clean storefront door for events and markets.
  • Dog kennel / farm use — vents, insulation, and partitions for animals, feed, and hay.
How a build works

From your plan to ready-to-use.

1

Tell us the plan

Walk us through how you'll use the container and which mods you want. A photo or rough sketch helps — we'll fill in the details.

2

We quote & spec the build

You get a written quote with every mod itemized and a real timeline. No surprises once we agree on the plan.

3

Our shop fabricates

We cut, weld, wire, insulate, and finish in-house. Same crew start to finish, so quality stays consistent.

4

Built right, finished clean

Work you'd be glad to show off.

The difference between a container that looks thrown together and one that looks built is in the details — square cuts, clean welds, doors that hang true, and a finish that holds up outdoors for years. That's the bar we hold every job to.

Because everything happens in our own shop, we stand behind the whole build, not just the box. If something needs adjusting after it lands, you call the same number and the same people who built it. That's the upside of buying local.

Build questions

Before we cut steel.

Yes. If your container is structurally sound and wind & water tight, our shop can add doors, windows, vents, electrical, shelving, and more to a unit you already have. Bring it to our Woodlawn yard, or for larger jobs we can quote picking it up and bringing it back. We'll inspect it first and tell you honestly what it can and can't take.
Simple single mods like a personnel door, a few vents, or a coat of paint often turn around in a few days. A full build-out with insulation, electrical, lighting, and finished walls takes longer — usually one to a few weeks depending on scope and parts. We give you a real timeline with your written quote before any work starts.
Our electrical packages — panel, outlets, switches, and LED lighting — are built to be wired up by a licensed electrician for final hookup and inspection in your jurisdiction. We rough in the conduit, boxes, and fixtures cleanly so your inspector and electrician have an easy job. If you need a turnkey hookup, tell us and we'll work it into the plan.
The most common are a roll-up garage-style door for easy drive-in access and a standard steel personnel (man) door so you don't have to swing the big cargo doors every time. We can add multiple doors, double personnel doors, or keep the original cargo doors and just add a side entry — whatever the workflow calls for.
Yes. We insulate containers for offices, workshops, and climate-sensitive storage using spray foam or rigid panels, then finish the walls so it holds heat in winter and stays cooler in summer. Paired with vents and a small HVAC or mini-split, an insulated container is comfortable to work in all year.
