Yes. A container floor is built to carry palletized freight loaded by forklift, the exact job it was designed for in shipping. What trips people up is the door sill, the raised lip at the threshold. The mistake: treating the doorway like flat ground

The floor inside a container is flush and solid, but the doorway is not level with the ground outside it. There is a raised steel sill under the cargo doors, built to keep the floor sealed against water, and it sits a few inches proud of whatever surface the forklift is rolling on. Drivers who have not loaded a container before treat that gap like a curb cut and just drive across it.

That is where things go wrong. A fork catches the sill edge and the mast rocks, a pallet corner snags and shifts its load, or a loaded forklift bounces hard enough to jar whatever is stacked near the door. None of that damages the container itself, the steel does not care, but it can drop freight or throw a machine off balance right at the one spot where you have the least room to recover.

The fix: bridge it, or leave the machine outside

The safer version, and the one most yards actually use, keeps the forklift's wheels outside the container entirely. Extend the forks in, set the pallet down just past the doorway, then back out and let someone inside slide or walk the pallet the rest of the way with a pallet jack. It is slower per pallet, but nothing with weight on it ever crosses the sill on a forklift's own wheels.

That is a very different question from what any one forklift can safely put on it, since forklift capacity, tire footprint and how the weight is spread all change the math.
