What actually happens when one of these gets loaded

Picture a machine, a piece of equipment or a coil of cable too tall to fit through a standard container's door opening. On an open-top box, the crew doesn't fight it through the end doors at all. They pull back the tarp, and a crane sets the load straight down through the open roof, the way you'd lower something into a bin instead of pushing it through a doorway.

Once it's in, the tarp goes back over the steel roof bows and gets cinched down, and the box travels closed up like any other container, just with cargo poking above the top rail if it needs to.

The rule behind the design

The rule is simple: if cargo is taller than the door opening allows, or it needs to go in from above rather than through the end, an open-top solves that specific problem and nothing else. It isn't a stronger box or a bigger one, same footprint and same steel walls as a standard container of the same size, just a different roof and a different way in.

Why it's not something we keep on hand

Open-top containers are export equipment, built for freight that's headed onto a ship with cargo taller than a standard box allows. That's a different job than the residential, farm and jobsite storage most of our customers are solving for, and it's not equipment we stock or source. Everything on our lot has a solid welded steel roof.

If height is the actual problem you're solving

Most storage jobs, tools, hay, inventory, furniture, fit through a standard door opening without ever needing a crane. If you genuinely have something too tall for that, an open-top isn't equipment we can get you, and the honest move is to say so rather than pretend otherwise.
