Before the truck backs onto your property, the paperwork covers four things: the monthly rate and what size box you are getting, delivery and pickup terms, how much notice ends the rental, and who is responsible for the steel versus what you store inside. Ours is month to month with no fixed term to sign. Ask us to walk through the specifics before you book.
On the yard side, the paperwork gets settled over the phone before a driver ever loads a container onto the tilt-bed. You give us the size, the drop address, and the ground conditions, and we confirm the truck can reach the spot. What comes out of that call, and gets confirmed before delivery, is the agreement itself: rate, delivery terms, and how the rental ends when you are done.
None of that is buried in fine print you see for the first time on delivery day. It gets talked through on the phone first.
The agreement states the size you are renting, 20 ft or 40 ft, and the monthly rate tied to it. That figure is what you are billed each month for as long as you keep the box, and it does not change partway through unless you swap sizes.
The agreement lays out three practical pieces:
Whoever you rent from, this is the clause worth reading closely, since notice requirements and proration rules vary company to company far more than the rate does.
The container structure stays our responsibility while it is on rent. What you store inside, and the ground it sits on, is yours to manage. That split is stated plainly rather than left to be assumed, so there is no confusion later about who calls for a repair versus who insures the contents.
Because the steel belongs to us for the length of the rental, anything permanent, cutting in a vent, bolting shelving through the wall, painting the exterior, needs our go-ahead first. Ask, and we will tell you plainly whether it works for a rental or points you toward buying instead.
Call and we will walk through rate, delivery, and notice before anything ships.
