Yes. Our shop roughs in the panel, boxes, switches, wire runs and LED fixtures before the container ever leaves Woodlawn. A licensed electrician makes the final hookup and handles inspection in your jurisdiction, and we do not pull permits. The container arrives wired and waiting, not energized, which is where the line sits.
Picture the container sitting open in the shop with the cargo doors chocked back. The steel is bare, the walls are corrugated, and there is nowhere yet for a wire to go. That is the point at which the electrical work is easy, and it is why we do it here instead of leaving it for somebody to retrofit in your yard in the rain.
Conduit gets run along the walls and across the ceiling where it belongs rather than wherever it will fit later. Boxes land where the outlets actually want to be, which is after we know where the bench goes, where the door swings and where shelving will cover the wall. Switches go by the door you will use, not by the door the container came with. Then the panel gets mounted and the runs land in it, labelled.
That last point is the practical one. A rough-in an inspector can follow at a glance is a short inspection. A rough-in somebody improvised on site with the doors open in February is not.
We rough in. A licensed electrician does the final hookup and the inspection in your jurisdiction. We do not pull permits, and we do not energize, certify or sign off on anybody's electrical work.
That is not us dodging the job. It is how electrical work is supposed to run, and the electrician holding the license is the one who has to stand behind the connection. Our part is to make their part quick, which it is when the conduit is already in and the runs are already labelled.
Line up your own licensed electrician early, and tell us who it is while we are speccing the build. We will set the panel and the runs where they want them and ask them before we cut, so nothing has to be moved once the box is on your ground.
The wiring inside the container is the straightforward half. The half that varies is how power reaches the spot the container is sitting on, and that is a site question rather than a container question, which is why a rough-in gets quoted in writing rather than off a price list we do not publish.
The distance from your existing panel matters, because a long run is a different piece of work from a short one. So does whether the run goes overhead or buried, and buried brings in what is already under that ground: a septic line, a water line, a drain field, old fence posts. Your electrician sizes the feed and decides how it gets there. We build the box to receive it.
Where a permanent feed is not practical, plenty of containers around here run on a generator or a jobsite temporary supply for the season and get a proper feed later. Roughing the container in either way costs nothing extra in flexibility, because the panel is already there waiting.
Every layer in a container build wants to happen in a particular order, and electrical sits in the middle of it. Openings get cut and framed first, because a cut through a wall you have already wired is a problem you made for yourself. Wiring goes in next, while the steel is open and the shop lights are on. Insulation and finish close over the top of it.
Do it in that order in the shop and the whole thing is clean. Do it out of order, in your yard, after the container has been delivered and loaded, and you are pulling shelving off walls to chase a wire.
A rough-in on a bare 20 ft box and a rough-in inside a finished office build are not the same job, which is why we want to hear what will plug in, roughly where the panel should live and how far it sits from your existing service before anybody writes a number down.
