Free delivery is measured in road miles from Woodlawn, not straight-line miles across a map. The road that decides it here is US-421, which comes down off the Blue Ridge into Wilkes County. It is the same route our truck takes on every North Wilkesboro drop.

Our yard is in Virginia and so are most of our customers, which is why this one catches people out. Virginia rules do not follow the truck across the state line. In Wilkesboro you need the North Carolina answer, from the county.

Here is the general shape of it in this state, and it is about as specific as anyone honest will get without you making a call. In North Carolina an accessory building over 12 ft in any dimension generally needs a permit, and in practice that catches both a 20-ft and a 40-ft container. Plan on there being a process.
